Data ownership

An advisor's book is the advisor's business. Policy Mitra AIOS is a tool for managing it, not a claim on it.

1. Your data is yours

The customers, families, policies, documents, notes and business records you enter belong to you and, where they are personal information, to the individuals they describe. Policy Mitra does not acquire ownership of them by storing or processing them.

2. What we do not do

Policy Mitra does not:

Sell your customer list or any customer's information.
Contact your customers to sell them insurance.
Share one advisor's customers with another advisor, except within a brokerage where the broker has reassigned them.

3. Export

Reports in the advisor and broker workspaces can be downloaded as CSV files: customers, policies, renewals, claims, commission and leads. You can take a copy of your records at any time.

4. Changing plans

Moving between Starter, Professional, Business and Enterprise does not move or reset your data. Your customers, families, policies and business data stay with you.

5. Advisors within a brokerage

Where an advisor works under a brokerage's account, the brokerage administers the customer records of its advisors and can reassign customers between them. The arrangement between an advisor and their brokerage is a matter for the two of them.

6. Closing your account

You can ask for your account to be closed by writing to support. Export your records first. After closure, your data is deleted except where the law requires it to be kept.
