Privacy Policy
How Policy Mitra handles information for customers, advisors and brokers.
1. Information we collect
Policy Mitra holds the information users enter into the platform:
- Account details such as name, email address, phone number and city.
- Policy information such as insurer, plan, policy number, sum insured, premium and renewal date.
- Family member records added to a customer account.
- Documents uploaded to the platform, such as policy schedules, identity proofs, claim papers and receipts.
- Requests, claims, messages, tasks and notes created while using the platform.
2. How we use information
Information is used to provide the platform's features: organising policies, showing renewal dates and reminders, routing insurance requests to an advisor, tracking claims, and producing reports for advisors and brokers.
We do not use policy or document information for advertising.
3. Role-based access
Access to records is restricted by role. Customers see their own and their family's records. Advisors see the customers assigned to them. Brokers see the customers, policies and activity of advisors in their organisation. Administrators manage accounts and platform settings.
4. Demo workspace and browser storage
The web application on this site currently runs as a demo workspace. It opens with a sample dataset of fictional customers, policies and insurers.
Anything you add or change in the demo workspace, including accounts you register, is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers, and it is not visible on other devices. Files you upload in the demo stay in the open browser tab and are not uploaded anywhere.
You can remove this data at any time by using Reset sample data in Settings or by clearing your browser's site data. Because the demo sign-in is not a security boundary, do not enter real personal or policy information into the demo workspace.
5. Sharing of information
Policy Mitra does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with the parties involved in a user's own insurance relationships, such as the advisor assigned to a customer and the broker that advisor works under.
When you send us a message through the contact page, it is sent from your own email application and we receive whatever you choose to include.
6. Your choices
You can review and update your profile, family members, policies and documents from your account. To ask a question about your information or request its removal, contact us using the details below.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated as the platform changes, in particular when the web application moves from a demo workspace to a hosted service. The current version is always published on this page.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to Support@Policymitra.online or through the contact page. See also the Terms.
